Earlier this year we consulted you about the Lib Dem Council's pledges to Milton Keynes residents. We wanted to know which are most important to you. Thank you to everyone who replied.

As a result of your feedback we have modified our pledges, so these are the pledges for this year

The Lib Dem Council will:

  • Keep council tax rises to no more than inflation

  • Reduce anti-social behaviour

  • Improve GCSE results

  • More affordable homes for rent

  • Make MK even cleaner


"Two-View Tories" say Lib Dems

At Milton Keynes Council on Tuesday, 8 July, the Liberal Democrats put forward a key amendment to a Conservative motion on climate change. The Tory motion not only tried to overturn Milton Keynes Council's commitment to tackling climate change but also showed that the Tories have two views on climate change.

Lib Dems Announce Cabinet Portfolio Details

The Leader of Milton Keynes Council, Liberal Democrat Councillor Isobel McCall, has announced the details of cabinet portfolios for the new council year. In announcing the outline of the structure at the recent meeting of the Council, Isobel said: "The new structure means we will have more collaborative working in teams."
