Crime in Milton Keynes has fallen 13% in the last nine months compared to last year.
The Liberal Democrat-run Council has invested more in Community Safety Officers, but setting up Neighbourhood Action Groups (NAGs) across the Borough is also good news. NAGs are forums for the police, councils, other agencies and residents to work together on issues that concern residents, such as antisocial behaviour.
Alan Richards is one of several Liberal Democrat councillors involved in their local NAGs. He is an active member of Great Linford NAG, which meets monthly to discuss local problems and to find solutions to tackle them. Alan Richards said: "I'm delighted that, in the coming year, the Lib Dem Council is investing more in tackling anti-social behaviour."
